Riverwalk is a multi-phased Recreational Corridor that runs primarily along the eastern shoreline. It provides pubic access to approximately 2.5 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Jupiter Inlet. Visitors are able to walk around and enjoy a scenic walk. They can also observe wildlife including manatees, stingrays, varieties of fish and birds, Ospreys, and American Bald Eagles. The Riverwalk also provides access to the Jupiter Yacht Club Mariana and shopping at small rental shops.
Harbourside Place is inside Riverwalk. Harbouside has many shops and restaurants. It is a very lovely place that tourists like to visit. It was designed to become the main entertainment part of Riverwalk. Harbourside even has a 179 room hotel named The Wyndham Grand Hotel. Many people go to the docks located here. There are many public docks and public parking here. People dock their boats and eat dinner at Harbourside. The centerpiece of Habourside is the Amphitheater. Many bands perform here at night when people go to dinner. You can hear their amazing music from inside of the restaurants. The Amphitheater has many chairs with umbrellas circling it. There are interactive fountains that pop up when you walk by it. Many people meet up and do yoga on the nice lawn by the umbrellas.
Riverwalk also has a place called Burt Reynolds Park. It is just north of Harbourside. The park is waterfront and provides public boat ramps and pavilions. It is also home to the Loxahatchee River Environmental Center. This center opened in 2008 and is very popular. Its purpose is to teach people about the wild and scenic Loxahatchee River. There are many fish tanks in this center. The center provides art classes to young children.
