Soccer has Eleven players, including the goalkeeper, are allowed on the field at one time for each team. These players must keep the ball in play on a rectangular field that measures between 100 and 130 yards in length and 50 and 100 yards in width. Soccer is played by 250 million people in over 200 countries. It is the world's most popular sport. Players are not aloowed to touch the ball with their hands unless their are the goaly.The rest of the players pass the ball with their feet and any other body part except their hands and arms. The team that scores the most points at the end of the game wins. If their is tie it goes into extra time or there is a penalty kick.
Thr first people who came up with soccer were the Chinese it waqs named "cuju" meaning in chinese "kick ball". When the Chinese played the game they used any part of their body to pass the ball. Also they had to kick the ball through a net, similar to the soccer we have now.The rules that we have know are based on the mid-19th standard form of soccer.In 1848 the Cambridge rules were written at Cambridge University and the representatives were from Eton, Harrow, Rugby, Winchester and Shresbury schools. Then some schools started playing soccer and they strated making there own rules.
What happens to the ball when it goes out of the field
In the rules it says if the ball is out of play or in play. When they ball is out play ,eight things can happen
