The RMS Titanic (Royal Mail Streamer) was a British passenger liner that was constructed in March 31st, 1909 in Belfast, Ireland and sank in the Atlantic Ocean on April 15th, 1912. This 883 foot “unsinkable” star liner hit an iceberg at around 11:40 PM and began to sink. The ship took about 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink, it was around 2:20 AM when it fully sunk. About 2,200 people were aboard the titanic and around 1,500 lives were lost when the titanic sunk into the icy waters of the Atlantic. There were many factors that could have saved the titanic from sinking into the depths of the ocean. Factors such as the Titanic’s bad rivets, they lowered the bulk heads for a grander stair case, warnings not received, and more.
